TKAM notebook will be worth one major grade (and includes an assignment that later becomes a separate major grade) due Feb. 3 (red day) and 4 (green day). The due date could POSSIBLY be pushed later; if it is, I'll let you know as soon as I decide.

Section 1 Journal
For the journal section, you will pick one topic from each chapter section in this handout to write approximately 26 lines (one sheet of notebook paper) for a total of 9 journal entries

Section 2 Annotations (2 column notes)
quote and chapter/page numbers
your analysis of the quote
Ch. 1
"Maycomb was an old town, … and sweet talcum." Page 5
The descriptive detail paints a vivid picture of the town of Maycomb, which provides some insight on Scout's feelings about Maycomb. In addition, the narrator provides the setting for the story and sets the mood for a quiet and somewhat dull town, which sets the stage for the conflict of Tom's trial.

Section 3 Allusions
